Things are a mix bag for me now. Frosty Nancy as I mentioned months ago ... (Thinking it might have a respiratory or asthma problem) ... Only by now (I am) still guessing at it, I am now thinking it is a tumor growth in my budgies throat and it is getting worse. I am about to expect it to Pass Away soon. In the meantime, I did something that made things good. I requested a couple months ago with the Store here that I like to get a new baby budgie when they get their New Fall Stock in. They just did at the end of August and I got me a New Budgie Bird last week. This bird is starting things "Awesome"! (It looks 2 Months Old) Full of Zest and Excited little guy. It made my hurting and distressed bird happy enough to try flying around, but it is really hurting with its mixed condition and I like to find away to help it from suffering like this. How does one treat a "Tumor"? When my options are so limited now. I guess the poor thing is facing a few more days to maybe another Month left and hate to meet with and when that day comes. It is going to be a Sad Day for me. The new bird is a Delight. A Mix of Good and Bad at this time.
Have you taken Frosty to an avian vet for a diagnosis ?
You need to do whatever you can to ensure she will not suffer.
I'm sorry (?) but I thought most here already knew about my May Thread on this issue of taking her to the Vet already. The Vet could not find for me what was her problem, but a chronic irritation that I have to put up with. By now it has gotten worse and as I get to pet her neck by her throat, I feel it lumpy there now. I already have $320.00 Charged on my Credit Account and still trying to pay that off. She had 5 visits and the last one she was keep under observation for 2 weeks in early June, saying she was given an Anti-bio-tic with her food.
It is hard for me to get all my thoughts, saying and any other extra into my Threads right off. So? This one is to add my Pictures of the New Budgie I got in this Attachment. I at the moment am calling "Him": "Eerrwee" I started him out with Fresh Raw Produce Broccoli Studs and the bird ate it all up with great delight and loves it. Can fly around my place like crazy. Now my other birds like Broccoli Studs also. I have always had for my others Parsley for them and they still do.
Just make her as comfortable as possible. Make sure she isn't suffering, if she is you may have to put her down You've been a great daddy to her and I know she loves you. You can try giving her tumeric or chamomile tea (cooled down) for pain and inflammation.
I'm glad your new little guy is settling in well, though
and Princess Mallorn!
Thank you to Deb for her wonderful Faery magic
I'm so sorry to hear poor Frosty is still suffering.
If she is in pain and very uncomfortable, the best thing you can do for her is show her how much you love her by allowing the vet to help her move on in her journey to the Rainbow Bridge.
Frosty is going to need your love and utmost care ,but above all else when the pain is obvious for her you need to be strong and help ease her journey. I am happy for you that your new little budgie is helping with Frosty's health problems, can she still eat and drink easily? I hope she finds some comfort from the tea please try it for her.
Thanks All! I had some Chamomile Tea and just tired that 10 days ago. My other bird Pikachu (Yellow and Gray One) looks rather less excited about things lately. She's looking more sleepy and tired then my other 2. Frosty-Nancy can or does look like it eats its food and drinks, but it goes through its agony in the process of it. More squeaking noise and it is constantly squeaking. I might call the Vet if they have any more suggestions.
I definitely believe contacting your Avian Vet is the best course of action.
While people on the forum may make guesses and/or suggestions, they are not trained in the diagnosis and treatment of avian illnesses.
Please let us know what you find out as we are wishing you and your budgies all the best!
