Default Harry visited the basement

Harry decided to interrupt his morning laps of the kitchen and just whoosh off down the hallway. He really never does that... he will go in the living room if I take him there, but normally he likes to stay where he can see his cage, and he only really knows 2 rooms in the house.

I was looking all over, and getting pretty anxious because I was calling him and I couldn't hear him chirping back.

The last place I looked was the basement, and as soon as I called "Harry?" I heard a forlorn little voice say "good bird" ... He'd flown down the C-shaped staircase, across a fairly dark room and into the laundry room where I had a light on. There were some t-shirts hanging up to dry and he was sitting on the shoulder of a shirt looking very worried.

What a funny bird, I was so happy to find him safe and sound. I am making sure the entire house is bird-safe in case he goes exploring again.

Oh my, what a little stinker!

I am glad Harry's little adventure ended well. He is a smart little guy, that is for sure

Wow!
I'm glad Harry knew how to let you know the "good bird" was a little unsure how to find his way back.
You must have been very anxious when you couldn't locate him.
It sounds as though Harry has a bit of an adventurous streak!

Harry would of been so happy to hear you I am sure, in fact most probably more happier than you when you heard his reply !
I wonder why he chose Good Bird

Aren't they all? But we wouldn't have them any other way

Gave me a scare all right when I couldn't hear him. I thought he must have flown into something and knocked himself out or worse. I wonder what he thought of the basement. It looks a bit like an episode of Hoarders

The poor little fella was probably peeping the whole time but I couldn't hear him. 'Good bird' is his go-to phrase for all unforseen events probably because he associates it with getting millet... it would have been rather funny if he'd greeted me with 'Garbage truck' which seems to be his second-favourite at the moment Crazy parrot.

Maybe I shouldn't laugh, but that sounds hilarious

Either way, Harry should learn to say "Naughty bird!"

I'm glad everything turned out all right You must have been scared!
