Question Budgie tamed but started biting

Hi all,

So I've had my budgie for a few months now, he's been tamed for a month or so but recently when I put my hand in the cage he will jump straight on it and start biting all my fingers really hard and gets so into it he shakes his head around going crazy. Even when I try feeding him with millet he will eat for a bit then go crazy with my hand again. My boyfriend says he's just playing and that he's a young budgie but he bites so hard. Does anyone else have this with their budgies?? Is he being playful or aggressive? Thanks

From all the reading I've done, I've learned that budgies are territorial and most don't like you putting your hand in their cage. I for one don't put my hand in my hen's cage....although I have no reason to because she's always at her door waiting for me to let her out! Good luck!

Hope it settles down soon sometimes my young budgie displayed this attitude but I put it down to teenage hormones and more or less like play fighting. He doesn't do it at all now. Does he sort of dance around and bob his head as well, this is playing behaviours if he is.
