So, it's been 4 hale and healthy weeks and yesterday I moved Miss Marple upstairs with the babies. She was SO glad to be "home"!
And FINALLY she could get a good look at the "friends" she's been screaming at for the last month.
They were fascinated by her and not really frightened (except when she nibbled a toe through the cage here and there).
She spent much of the day flying back and forth between the two cages and kissing through the bars.
Tommy is coming along well. He will now sit on my hand and eat millet. Though if he notices where he is, he leaps off as if to say, "You tricked me!" While he's eating the millet he'll nibble my fingers occasionally - sometimes really HARD, but I just stay still and stoically take it.
Tuppence on the other hand, is MUCH more reticent and reserved. I can sometimes get her to take millet THROUGH the bars, but never inside. I don't know if it's because of her temperament, or because the cage is bigger and gives her the room to flail around more, but she is much flightier than Tommy.
I figure I'll keep working on Tommy and worry about Tuppence later.
I'm hoping that if they see Miss Marple happily interacting with me, they will learn I don't eat budgies!
