Default Budgies Not Playing With Favorite Toy?

Hi! I gave my budgies a corn cob toy I bought, and they torn it apart. I got the same kind again for them but they won't touch it! I don't want them not having a toy they love as much as that!

Hi and to Talk Budgies!

Your budgies had a great time with the first toy which is wonderful. Sometimes after spending a lot of time playing with and destroying a particular toy, budgies simply need a break from that type toy before they are ready to engage in the same behavior with a replacement. This happens frequently with my budgies with their Bird Kabobs and shredder toys. Your budgies' behavior is quite normal and nothing to be concerned about.

To familiarize yourself with the forums, please take the time to read through all of the How To Guides, the FAQs and the stickies located at the top of each section of the forum.
You'll find most of your basic questions are answered after you've read through all of them.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about your budgies and hopefully seeing some pictures soon!!

Your a good bird parent, getting them something they had so much fun with!
I've done the same thing as you. Watched them find a toy they love, get it again and they're not interested.
I just got them a different toy and out that in the cage, and saved the other one for another day.
I always look for new things to give them to try, and as I have two cages, I alternate different toys between the two cages, so both of my main cages have different toys in them.
