Default Two Cages

Hello.

I've had my new cage for a couple of weeks now and mostly Jay and Sage had been staying in it, but occasionally, Jimmy and Sunny do.
Tonight however, everyone decided to have a sleepover in the big cage. As everyone seemed settled and fine, and I moved the swings from the other cage over to make sure there'd be no upset.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong with regards to establishing cages though. Should I try and make the same pair stay in one cage all the time?
The fact that the two cages are different probably doesn't help matters.

As always, I appreciate any advice.

How cute! Seems like a happy group of budgies. I would wait and see if they use the same cage every day or go back and forth between the two. If you have the room and don't mind two cages.

They are flock birds so it really is no surprise that they would all come together if allowed. I had my four all in seperate cages at one time, but since putting them together would never consider not letting them be a flock again...

I have two of my F040 cages in the living room now. Skipper, Scooter and Sparky go back and forth between the two, playing and having fun all day.

At night, they all choose to sleep together in one cage together which is fine with me.

I like allowing them to have both cages as it gives them more room (even though the living room looks more like an aviary nowdays)

If the big cage can accommodate all of your budgies then I see no problem with allowing them all to use it if that's what they prefer.

Well they all had a good night together so I'll continue to let them choose their own cage for the night.

Yes, I'd say there's no problem as long as they have plenty of room.
