Default Should I avoid avocado OIL in products?

I know avocado is toxic to my parakeet but was wondering if I should avoid any products with avocado. The reason I am asking is I have picked up a hobby of making soap - should I completely avoid avocado oil? I know I wouldn't keep the soap itself in her reach but in case I make a shampoo bar with avocado oil I am just concerned if she were to nibble my hair (she doesn't ever do this except very rarely if she lands on my head!). Thanks!

I think as long as you are vigilant and responsible when making your soaps an bars, and it certainly sounds as though you are then it should be fine to continue to use the oil. Thorough washing of hands and such before handling your budgie after you have been making some products naturally.

Thanks! I am definitely very careful (soap stuff is on also on a different floor of the house, etc.) but I still don't know if I even want to use it just knowing the final product would have avocado oil in it if it's a no-no as well - I don't think I even want to chance it -- I have plenty of other oils to use so I will scratch this one off the list. Thank you!!

If you don't feel comfortable using it, you may want not want to continue using it. But it should be okay.
