Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a bit, been very busy with the budgies!
I had the problem of inheriting an aviary full of colony bred budgies. I am pleased to say, all budgies have now been rehomed, except for Terminal, who my son kept
No budgies of the opposite sex left together, which was my main goal. I also was lucky enough to be helped by a breeder in town, who has bred budgies and looked after them for 30+ years. I was so impressed with his aviaries and the way he looks after his budgies.
The only bad news I have to report is that the bird I wanted to keep from the start (Doodie) unexpedactly passed
and if you can recall there was a nest with eggs - the eggs never hatched
This experience has given me a love for budgies, I haven't stopped learning about them since! The Internet has provided so much information for me, and I am lucky enough that through my new friend, I am also getting hands on experience!
My new friend is also going to let me experience breeding, and help him, when he starts later this year, which will be very interesting!
I just wanted to thank you all again for all of your suggestions and help, I really appreciate it!
