I've been wondering about something for a while now and google hasn't been able to give me an answer, so here goes.
Could you use small animal (rabbit, rat, guinea pig etc) wood chews for birds?
These are the sort of things I'm talking about:
I've read that most of them are made of pine and are dyed with animal safe dyes. The one above is flavoured (no idea how they manage that) but most of the ones I've seen around aren't, I'm pretty sure.
Would it be safe to use these to make bird toys? My birds love stripping branches and chewing through their dowel perches, so I thought that these could make a nice colourful addition.
You know you might have too many budgies when you're not sure if you've remembered them all!
