In this year of Shakespeare's anniversary, what will Peta's first literary contribution be?
Taking bets at the moment between:
1) "I can't help being yellow" (10:1)
2) "No thank you, I don't do wet" (56:17)
EXTRA: Later additions to the running order
3) "I'm worried about the economy" (100:1)
4) "Jeg elsker rødgrød med fløde" (4:20)
NB: This sentence approximately means "I love redcurrants with cream". Peta is trying to learn Danish but as actually saying it in Danish is more or less impossible without making oneself sick, this option has rather long odds.
Well, Deb, to be honest, it's well known that we Brits don't like to shout about our attributes...we would rather squirm helplessly and go crawl behind a stone.
So that particular little gem isn't on her list of Good Stuff To Learn. But there's no doubt she thinks it in private!
So--sorry, no bets for you--but thank you for your always-valuable input.

Also, Deb's suggestion is spot on
Oh, Star, Peta has been wounded by your rather unkind remark.
But she says she will take it on the beak, like the trouper she is and just ignore it. We can't all be flowery poets, after all. Her personal poetic leanings are rather more towards Pam Ayres, who lives quite close and writes much more earthy and funny verse. AND it's understandable.
