Default is cedar oil, lavendar oil and cinnamon sticks safe for budgies

I'm not planning to feed any of these to her. I just want to use them in the room she is in for various reasons but just want to check all 3 of these are safe incase she nibbles them

thanks

Would you be using them diluted or full strength? Any essential oil is iffy when you come into direct contact with it at full strength....I wouldn't have a problem using them in the room she is in, but I would make sure they were nibble-proof just to be on the safe side. I clean cages, feeding equipment and toys with a diluted Tea Tree Oil.

I was going to dilute the oils in water and spray it around the base boards in the room

would this be OK? she doesn't usually go near the base boards but just want to check it's safe incase she does. also will it be OK for her to smell it in the air?

Spraying base boards with it would be perfectly safe especially if she doesn't go near them. She will also benefit from their airborne properties so it's a win/win situation!

I buy cinnamon sticks for Banana. He loves chewing on them. He loves to rub his face on it! When he's molting it was his favorite scratching post

Thank you all for the great tips here. Will try simmering orange. I presume using lemon in the same way is also ok?

(Grapefruit? That is different in some ways from the other citrus fruits, isn't it?)

Yes, citrus is fine. Actually, if you buy grapefruit seed extract, that is a wonderful disinfectant that smells nice and works well. From what I've read with tea tree oil, it actually isn't safe for birds, so I would try a citrus or the grapefruit seed instead
