Question Can I leave my budgie alone?

Hello, I just found out that in a couple of weeks I have go to my cousins house for a week, I am wondering if my parakeet can stay without me for that long, I know I can have someone come over at the worst every 2 days, but in case some random thing happened and he had to be alone for the week would my budgie be fine? Thanks.

Unfortunately, the answer is no, your budgie would not be okay for one whole week without having someone to change and replenishing fresh food and water. This is something which needs to be done on a daily basis.

Imagine if your budgie would somehow dump the water onto the floor, then he wouldn't be able to drink and keep hydrated. The same thing can happen with food and in a week's time he would starve.

It would be best if someone to were to go over your house at least one time per day to give food/water and check on your budgie.
Or maybe you could ask a trusting friend or family member to take in your budgie for the week you will be out.

Greetings I agree with aluz totally on this.your budgie needs fresh water ,food, and changing its paper bottom to help keep it healthy.if you can find someone who can do that.then that should be alright then.

I know if i was going to be gone for awhile,I would make sure my Gracie would be well cared for.
I hope all goes Well for and your budgie.blessings and we're here if you need us.
