Exclamation Keeping calm during an earthquake?

Where I live, there's been quite a few minor earthquakes today (minor enough I can barely feel them!) but my Stormy definitely feels them. He's been really anxious and keeps flying at the side of his cage. I'm worried he'll hurt himself!
Any tips to calm him down?

To calm him down, you can cover his cage on 3 sides (leaving the front part uncovered) and have some some music on for him.
If Stormy is well bonded and trusting of you, he may also find comfort in your presence and your voice when you talk to him.
It's also important to make sure Stormy's cage is in a secure place as in to prevent the cage from falling down or any other objects from fallling into the cage during the earthquake.

I hope your Stormy will settle soon and feel less nervous, good luck!

The quakes seem to have stopped, but he's still pretty anxious. I'll cover his cage now, thank you for the advice!

You're very welcome!
The music or general background sound from the TV will also be helpful in terms of reducing the stress levels and will also encourage Stormy to sing.

Greetings.most animals and birds can sense danger or events before they happen.they get very nervous and will act strange during an earthquake or some other event.hopefully your budgie Wil calm down soon and the danger passes.
Those earthquakes really scare me.I've been through 2 small earthquakes before.

Sending comforting prayers for you and your budgie.Blessings

I'm glad the earthquakes were very mild and hopefully the advice given will help if there are any in the future

I hope Stormy's settled down now and feeling calmer!
