Default Play gym thoughts

Hi guys
Since losing Honey, I've busied myself with some good old spring cleaning, and that included the bird cage and bird cupboard.

I threw out all old, worn, broken toys and perches and that included the Trixi round play gym I had, which was falling apart. ( I was given that by someone and I don't think it was put together very well)

I am now preparing for our new babies which we hope to have in a few weeks time and wondered if anyone had thoughts on play gyms.

As my cage is huge I see this playing a very important part in training and especially helping me get the babies back to the cage when they first venture out.

Has anyone got the Trixi 5657 wooden playground? Any thoughts on it?

Open to any other thoughts on this. It needs to be small enough to go in the bird cupboard in the daytime.

I did see a U.K. Site which would make one but at £167 I thought was a little expensive.

Thank you

A play gym does not need to be expensive, you can make a great play gym yourself with a little thought and time.
My budgies love climbing and investigating as I am sure your new little ones will too.
Some items of use tree branches with or without leaves on first make sure it is a safe type of wood of course.
Bottle caps from milk bottles, drinks, are great if you drill a hole through them and thread onto wire. Stainless steel bells are easily bought, as is beads, or chewing toys . Have a look in the do it yourself section for some inspiration.
