Question Budgie sleeping patterns

My sleeping pattern is a bit chaotic due to my narcolepsy (I either sleep for 15 hours or for 5 ) and I was just wondering how that effects Stormy... On days I sleep in until 2pm, he's always very excited when I take his cover off. Some days I wake up at 6am, and he's still asleep when I take the cover off.
Is this too confusing of a schedule? Should I have a family member wake him up at a consistent time every day?
The only time a family member could wake him up every day is 5am, when my dad is leaving for work. Too early? We go to bed at 10

A good routine will be best for Stormy so I would go with your Dad uncovering him at 5am. If Stormy wants to sleep in a bit, he will do. But a set schedule will be great for him. You can always cover him up earlier than when you all go to bed.

Okay, thank you. I slept in pretty late today and he's been very excited to see me today!

Budgies tend to want to go to sleep once it starts to get dark, they do not have good night vision.
I agree it would be better for your dad to uncover him early in the morning, My budgies get covered around 8.30 each night.
