Got the idea after looking at a few threads on this site and online and also just observing what my 2 birds like playing with.
Things you need:
Safe paper rope - I prefer the thick type but there are thin types as well.
Beads. Different sizes if you prefer.
Paper cupcake patties
Get the paper rope. Measure out a length of rope.
Fold it in half. Repeat with desired number of ropes.
If needed cut to desired length
Tie strings together in a knot near the top. Leave room to make a loop or to tie off so you can hang it later.
Thread beads on as desired. I prefer to have a few beads but just 1 bead will work. You just need a bead to stop the cupcake papers from sliding.
Make a small hole in the center of the cupcake papers using scissors.
Thread cupcake pattie papers onto the string.
Make knot or thread a bead after the pattie paper to hold it in place. Put as many beads as desired. The more beads you put the more spaced the paper patties will be. So you can spread them out or keep them close together as I have done in the pics.
Thread Bells if desired at the end of your desired length of toy or simply tie a knot at the bottom to keep the beads in place.
