Thanks again everyone for your condolences and suggestions. We really do appreciate them.

I think we will try the clicker training again but only after we research the best method. We don't want to scare Charlie again. We just want him to be happy and healthy.

We took both the cat and Charlie to the vet a few weeks after mom passed in May as they were both acting strangely. The vet gave the all clear and said they were just in mourning. I can say, they are both still off a bit. I hope they both get back to normal soon.

Charlie is behaving so well today. He wouldn't take a bath/shower today at all but he has let me kiss him numerous times and I wasn't concerned he was going to bite me. lol

I guess all we can do is support him during this time and not make things worse for him by stressing him out unnecessarily. But I will look into the clicker training again.

There was a god suggestion about music. Charlies doesn't care if it's on or not. I don't think he listens to the radio at all. We've tried many stations too. lol

But of course that is what we do when we are away for long periods, we play the radio for him. lol

I hope to report sometime soon that Charlie is no longer biting, but he has always bitten a little since we rescued him. I always wonder what his life was like before we found him. Must not have been good. But there is always hope!

I notice you said that you took both Charlie and your cat to the vet. This, of course, implies that it was not an avian vet. In order to get an accurate bill of health for Charlie, he needs to be seen by an avian vet. An avian vet will catch illnesses that a normal vet might not, and may even be able to find a reason for Charlie's aggressiveness.

Wishing you all the best,

Tia

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother.
It's a very stressful time for all even little budgies. I think your doing a wonderful job with Charlie. Hopefully soon he'll be back to his normal self soon.
