Default Thoughts on Hagen Vision

Hi,,

I'm new here and will be bringing home two new Budgies in about 4 weeks. They are still weaning.

I have a line on a Hagen Vision MO2 and was wondering what you thought about this cage for the two birds. It is 25" wide 34" high & 16" deep.

Thanks for any and all input

Ed

Personally, for two budgies, I would go with the L01. Width or length is moe important than height.

Hi Ed.

As Minigrace pointed out, budgies fly length ways not up and down so wider is preferable to higher.

30x18x18 is the recommended size for two budgies. Bigger is always better. If you can afford to get the bigger cage, I would do as you will also be adding a number of cages and toys to keep your birds occupied which will take up some of that space.

Hi! to Talk Budgies

From previous threads, there have been comments that the Hagan Vision Cage is not easy to clean.

It is very important to give your budgies the biggest cage possible, even if you plan to give them a great deal of out-of-cage time.

This cage meets the minimum size requirements for two budgies:
White Flight Cage

The Prevue Hendryx F040 Cage is very popular among members:
Prevue Hendryx F040
I have several of them myself, as well as the extra-large F050 cage.

I have Jay in the MO2 and i had a discussion about it with another member and i would have to think about 2 budgies but no more... Jay is happy in the cage any he has enough space to excersise while i'm at work.

if this works this link will let you get an idea of the size of the cage

Good luck on the search, it's hard sometimes to find the right cage. There's loads of super advice on this forum.

I'm sure you will find the perfect new home x

If you are set on a Hagan Vision cage, the L01 is
17 inches long x 31 inches wide x 22 inches high

The L01 would be better than the M02 for the reasons stated previously by Minigrace.

Thanks all for your input.
I've been looking around at the bigger Vision, which I like but my better half did not any stand I found for it. When I showed the flight cages like the F040 mentioned here and she like that style so immediately I began looking around, reading reviews and came up with this one for $120 shipped in the black vein color.

That is a very nice cage.

Please ensure the spacing between the bars is no more than 1/2" as any wider is not safe for budgies.
