Default Please help me figure out my flock's sexes.

It seems that identifying sex and mutation is a favorite hobby around here. Unfortunately I stink at it. So I am hoping someone can help me figure out my little flock. This is the group of them hanging out:

[IMG][/IMG]

This is Tweak, we think she's female.
[IMG][/IMG]

Pretty sure Butters is a male.
[IMG][/IMG]

This is the baby of the group. We named her Ramona because we were sure she was a girl. Not so sure anymore... That cere is looking more and more purple...

[IMG][/IMG]

And now the toughest one, Hooper the albino. We don't know what he is...

[IMG][/IMG]

Any idea about the sex and mutations of these little guys?

Thanks for looking!

Welcome to the forums!

On the first picture, your albino budgie is female, next to her on the rope perch you have a male, he is a light green dominant pied, possibly cinnamon budgie.

On the bottom left you have a female, from the photo she looks like a light green normal budgie. Your youngest is a girl, she's a sky blue opaline budgie.

I couldn't help to notice you have a hiding area on the cage, something that can be used as a nest. In order to avoid future problems fights for the nest, breeding behaviour leading to unwanted egg laying, it's best that you remove that item seen on the second photo.

Thanks! I was beginning to think I might have 3 girls... oh boy!

That thing you mentioned was the type of feeder they were used to from the store. Its been removed since that picture was taken. No worries and thanks for the advice.

That's good to know and you're very welcome!

If all four of your budgies are currently housed together in the same cage, you will have to keep an extra eye on them when it comes to their interactions.
As your females mature and come into breeding condition, you may notice a change in their behaviours and there could be fightings between them.
At the first signs of vicious fighting, separation is needed.
