Milo was bought for our younger budgies and since he bonded with one female he adapted very easily and was cheerful and active almost all day long. What worries me the most is that instead
of singing he makes the same "croaky" or "gargly" sound over and over. I thought he was unable to make other sounds or something, but he sometimes chirps and makes other sounds, especially to his mate, with no problem. He also makes normal "singing" but less often. He has no runny nose, no tail bobbing while breathing, no "bird coughing" that I heard in a couple of videos, so far I think he's healthy.
He made normal singing right now, as though to tell me not to worry
-wait he now makes "croaky" singing again! D: Could it be he just prefers to do it?
I saw him asleep on the food container's perch, it might be a coincidence, but last time a bird fell asleep while doing something it turned out to be ill
But all our birds are less active these days, maybe it's the hot and humid weather. He had disturbed sleep lately, making the same sound, is this problem psychological!? lol
Also, something that worried me from the start is that the fecal part of his droppings is not homogenous, it has tiny short black "hairs" (not actual hairs!). However they have improved lately, more homogenous and less "hair".
I know, I know, but I've seen budgies show severe symptoms only right before they die, I wonder if he turns out to be ill.
Sorry if this is something obvious, thanks in advance!
