I'm glad your Bubs has been doing so well and already navigates the room like a pro and comes out and goes back to the cage on his own accord.

As for the diet, just like with training, it's important to be persistent by offering the fresh foods on a daily basis and presenting it in different ways to see what sparks your Bubs curiosity.
Some budgies like finely chopped up veggies placed on a bowl, while others prefer big leafy greens stuck in between the cage's bars.
In order to entice your Bubs to try to eat his greens, you can sprinkle a few seeds onto them. A good starter veggie is romaine lettuce, most budgies will go for it fairly easily. Sprouting seeds is also a very good way to make your Bubs more interested in trying fresh foods.
All veggies should be thoroughly washed before being offered.
