Budgie toy safe??

Hi everyone,

I am a new budgie owner and was wondering if these type of toys are good? My little Rocky love it but I see him eat/chewing mostly on the little rope thread is this good for them [emoji53]?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...9b8d89eee1.jpg

Hi again,

Those types of toys are great for budgies as long as they have no cotton rope. Since I do see some rope hanging out of there and you mention he is chewing on it, I would definitely remove it.

Rope, and other fabrics, when accidentally ingested from excess chewing, impact the crop severely and can cause blockages in the digestive tract, infection, or can even be fatal over time. Thus, it's best to keep all fabric or cotton rope away from your budgie where he can't chew it

Toys made of plant fibers instead of rope, like grass rope or raffia, palm leaves, etc. are good options.

Toys that are also "stackable" but do not contain rope are great alternatives! My girl likes this toy:
