Default Less Stress

Hey guys! I am trying to figure out the best time to get a budgie so that I can keep it from stressing out more than it already will be. I'm worried that if I get it now, I'll have to move it's cage later and I'm not sure if that will stress out the budgie. Should I wait to get one until I am sure that I won't have to move it's cage for a long time? Thanks so much!

Hello, budgies do react to situations and experience stress, the bringing home and taming process is a huge stress for all new budgies. The more relaxed and routine the better. to start with. After the settling in time you can start to get your budgie used to being in a different area , this is useful as you never know when an emergency may arise and you have to move him. Taking him into a small hospital cage or travel cage also is another move that is necessary. All to often a budgie may become ill and you have to place him under even more undue stress trying to catch him and place him in a small travel cage to get to the vet.

Thank you! I think I'll wait to get on until later. I appreciate the help.
