Yesterday evening, we went and picked a new bird to welcome into the flock once quarantine is over.
There were all boys at the pet shop and this little one won out in the end and made it home.
And I decided to give up on the 'J' & 'S' names, so we called this guy Tommy.
He has the most beautiful little chattering voice, though he gets shy when I try and record him. I will keep trying though.
He's settled in very well, eating and drinking the first day as well as playing with toys and exploring his cage and he's doing just as well today.
He's a fantastic little fella and I'm looking forward to when he can meet the rest of the flock.
It's hard to tell in these pictures but he's white and pale blue.
The rest of the flock are back to using four cages. Josie is with Jimmy & Jenny this evening. I wanted to settle Tommy into one of the normal cages I use rather than the Hagen Vision cage.
I have found that the clear plastic at the bottom can distract the birds with thinking they can get out there to start with and they just don't seem to settle that well in it.
Whether or not Tommy is just a chilled out guy or the cage change has helped, I can't be certain but it's all going well.
