Hello there! I have been away a long time but have popped back (and am amazed at how I'd forgotten how lovely this place is!)
Anyway, I am a member of a local budgie society and run the FB page. Today someone has contacted the page to ask if anyone had a bird looking for a home. They have a budgie who recently lost their companion and needs a new one. They do not want a baby bird, but would prefer an adult who is unwanted/homeless.
Does anyone know of a bird in the Bristol area of the UK who would like a new home with a friend?
Oh, and I promise to post some photos of my birds as a thank you
I also immediately thought of Pebbles when I saw your thread. Although his owner lives in Newcastle upon Tyne, which is like a 4-5 hour drive from Bristol, I do hope it can work out (Maybe meeting halfway?)
Best of luck!
and Princess Mallorn!
Thank you to Deb for her wonderful Faery magic
Thank you guys for mentioning me and sending me an email. I really appriciate it!
I was going to post this tomorrow, and send CaptainHowdy a text saying that I found a fantastic home for Pebble. I've been much upset today and barely been out of bed, as seeing my empty desk only fills my eyes with tears.
He is in good hands, with other budgies and tiels now.
He has gone to someone who doesn't live very far away and has promised to keep me in the loop on how it works out with him. I will keep you all noted as well with updates.
