I bought these inexpensive clips yesterday and I think they're wonderful.
I use them to secure a small stalk of organic broccoli or a few pieces of organic kale and my bird absolutely loves it. Previously, I was just holding the green treats for him, or when I put them in a dish he would inevitably knock them out and feel frustrated. ... I watched him trying to carry a piece of broccoli onto his favorite perch. I appreciated his fortitude as he trying to hold it, but then he would drop it and go down and get it again. Cute.
I'm really happy with these clips. They come in different colors.
Oh! I seen them before at my pet store but decided to use clips I got from staples. I have tried two different kinds so far and I really like one of the models. The first one I tried is a bit too strong. It squeezes the food I try using with them The second one I purchased is a lot easier to use and more effective.
I might buy the same thing next time I go to my pet store...
yes... I was pleasantly surprised how easy & well these work, and my bird loves them. you can put them on the side of the cage near a perch, or on the floor (if there's a grate there.) funny how the little things can make a nice difference.
Sassy & Brenda..... I just got them so I don't know how long they'll last, but so far they seem pretty sturdy and well thought out from a design perspective. They have little jaws to help secure whatever they're clipping... and looks like they can clip into different sized bar cage widths. My bars are 1/2" apart and they work great for that. However it appears they have another slot for various cages. For a $1.50 to $3.00 for two (depending on where you buy)... I think these a quite good. They do what they're supposed to do. Hope you like them. . .
