Default bird carrier

hi

My apartment building's fire alarm went off this morning (no actual fire) and i had to put my baby budgie into the box he came in. I was so afraid the box would open up, because we were also carrying four guinea pigs in carriers and going down four flights of stairs. I want to get him a proper carrier, so I know he's safe. Do you have any suggestions on a good kind to buy? (I live in Canada, but I can order online). He was really calm in the box because it was dark, and now he's singing away in his cage again. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

I got this one Trixie Transport Bag

I love that it can be easily folded up flat to store away. The perch screws in to one of two places in the sides and it's light and doesn't allow the bird to see too much so it can feel protected.

I REALLY like the one Therm has recommended! Hopefully you can find one like that in Canada.
I tried to locate one for you but was not successful.

Here are a couple options depending on how much you want to spend.

9-Inch long, 5 5/8-Inch wide, 6 1/8-Inch high with 3/8-Inch wire spacing CDN $24.70
Small Travel Carrier

This little cage is only 30.5 cm (12") x 38.1 cm (15") x 22.9 cm (9") CDN $22.39
I have one that is very similar to this that I use for transportation to the vet.

I have used a couple of different ones and they were all fine. I do cover it with a towel to create the nice dark space like the Trixie Travel bag.

Thank you every one for all your suggestions. I like the Trixie bag best, but I think the others will be okay with a cover over them as well.

If you manage to find the Trixie bag in Canada, please let us know where so we can add that to our list of resources.

Good luck!
