I went shopping the other day and walked past a section for wild birds where they had some cute fruit shaped bird feeders for hanging in the garden.
I loved the look of it and wanted to see if I could use it for the birds so decided to get one and see if I could modify it.
I picked this, delightful green apple design (there was also a red apple and an orange, but the orange was more just a bowl type of feeder).
First thing was first, I removed the fabric leaf and the string that you hang it up with as these were no good to me.
I made the hole a little wider and then used a zip tie and pushed it up through the bottom of the hole, attached the quick link to it and then looped the end of the zip tie back through the hole and fastened it so it's held on securely.
I used this in Tommy's cage and he loves it. I have it hanging next to a perch so he can just reach over and feed from it.
I got this from The Range.
I'll try and find out the name of the company that makes them.
