I have two sweet little budgies, Sunshine and BlueBell, they're both young and get along quite well even though they do bicker a little bit, particularly over food, but other than that they seem to get along just fine.
However, there is one behaviour that baffles me, BlueBell likes to curiously put Sunshine's feathers in his mouth, particularly her tail or wing feathers when she's bent down and they're in his face.
I've never seen him do it hard or out of aggression, but it almost seems as though he wants to preen her feathers but Sunshine usually just walks away as soon as he starts.
I don't know if it's because he's bored, likes her feathers, wants to play or wants to bond with her.
I've found it to be quite an adorable and hilarious little habit of his although i do keep an eye out just in case they get into a squabble.
Has anyone else seen this kind of behaviour in their budgies?
