Just curious if any of your budgies do this. Sunburst likes to play with her food bowl. By that I mean she lifts the side up with her beak and actually gets the cup hanging from one side. I will post a pic of the food cup. I have two on each side of the cage.

We came home today and both food cups were hanging by one leg.

I always thought that Sunburst had more muscle than Sunshine, I guess now I know why.

Budgies sure are clever animals! I've only had my budgies less than a week, but even I've learned that some really do have their own little quirks and funny behaviours.

I've only had my budgie a couple of weeks but he's certainly full of mischief too!

There are food cups available that they can't tip, if it's becoming a problem:

The food dishes you are using are quite light and very easy for a budgie to lift.

I use the stainless steel 10 oz coop cups for my birds. A couple of my budgies can even lift one side of these off the cage!

There are many different types of dishes.
The one linked below is not easy to tip.

I had that same dish and my bird ripped it entirely off the wall of the cage when he didn't like what was inside of it. ... I don't use those very often anymore.
