Default Budgie Smell

Is it weird that I LOVE the way my budgies smell? I don know what it is but it is just so comforting! Charlie has always smelled great (aside from right after a bath) but Mable and Benji just started smelling better. They stunk when I first got them, and I think it was from the seeds they were eating. As they have adjusted to pellets they have started to smell amazing just like Charlie! Am I the only one that loves to sniff their birds?

No, you aren't alone in this and budgies do have a pleasant smell.
With my current flock, I have noticed that my budgie girls have the most pleasant scents. My Dinda has the best of them all.

I love their smell too. There was a very long period of years when I did not have any birds and as soon as I started to have budgies again that smell triggered a lot of good old memories.

I have no previous budgie experience, but to me Artoo smells sweet and grassy like straw or hay. It's a comforting sort of scent.

I thought I was the only one that loved to smell my budgies! It's not as good of a smell as perfume, like I wouldn't want myself smelling like that, but I love that adorable smell. There's no way to describe their smell other than cute. <3

My husband is tired of me calling for him to come into whatever room I'm in, and then putting a bird under his nose and saying "George! Smell my bird!"

And it's IMPOSSIBLE for him to glare at me with a bird shoved in his face. LOL
