Default Einstein's Leg

Hi all,
Some may recall when Einstein fractured his leg last summer and i had it splinted and he lived in a fish tank for 7 weeks - was horrible but i still have him
He has been great up to about 2 months ago. His leg seems stiff and he stumbles when he walks but flies around like a mad bird as he normally does. i have purchased a corner perch so he can rest his foot, also he has been laying down when he naps. Wondering if there is any oils i can rub on his foot to help it. I am planning to go to the vet but it is so costly for her to say that she mentioned this may happen..any ideas?

thanks
Karen

You can soak Einstein's leg and foot in room temperature chamomile tea. That will help with any pain and inflammation.
Sprinkling some tumeric on his food and giving him cinnamon sticks to chew on will both help with any inflammation in his joints.

You can massage the leg using a bit of coconut oil. The coconut oil will moisturize the skin and gentle massage may help with the stiffness.

I'm glad you have a corner perch for him to rest on and it's great to hear he still enjoys flying about like a "mad bird".

Best wishes

Great!
Please be sure to update us on Einstein's condition.
I'll be keeping him in my prayers.
