Question Okay to use / combine these toys?

Hi I want to combine these two toys into one:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
to attach on top of this:
Pet Bird Parakeet Parrot Budgie Cockatiel Cage Hammock Swing Toys Hanging Toy #A | eBay

My main concern is the 2nd product, as it has holes in the hammock I am scared my budgie could fall in, and thought the first hammock type could be used on top of it to prevent that..

Any idea if these are safe toys ?

It's unlikely the budgie would fall through the holes in the second toy.
The problem with the hammock in the first picture is that as it's made for rodents etc. it's not ideal for a budgie and budgies can ingest fibres or get their nails caught in the fabric.

If you're worried about the toy, I would either buy it and be prepared to return it if you don't think it's safe, or simply not purchase it at all.

I would think that overall a traditional swing might be better, if you're concerned about the dangers of this hammock style toy.

That sort of toy isn't designed to be lined as birds like to chew the grass mat on the bottom. Is there a reason why you want to line it? Maybe we can suggest another option to accomplish your purpose.

I agree, budgies don't need any fabric such as that as it is actually very dangerous for them to get their nails caught in or ingest.

I agree that they would like a swing better, perhaps!

I'm confused as to why you think your budgies need something soft to walk on.

Budgies spend their time on branches and aren't accustomed to having soft surfaces like you are suggesting.

These might be cute swing/perch choices for your budgies.

Aww, I see! What about this one - I think the holes in the mat are closer together. Probably safe as far as heads getting stuck but smaller treats would stii fall through. https://www.amazon.com/Super-Bird-Cr...697B8KGMP4366V

Or this hanging treat basket? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Or maybe a platform perch? I have one similiar that my parrotlet loves to use for treat foraging. https://www.amazon.com/Niteangel-Par...Platform+perch

The hammock linked by Minigrace looks much better

The treat basket is cute too, but if you use it, make sure it is only under supervision and only ever has treats in it because budgies may see it as a nesting site. (i.e so don't put it in their cage )
