Cuttlebone use?
I have a young Budgie. I got him about two weeks ago. She is getting to be more and more social (specially when I have millet).

Anyways, I got her a cuddlebone and mounted it to a easy to reach spot in the cage. She hasn't used it at all. Her beak appears to be alittle bit long.

Anyways, do they always use a cuddlebone or do some not like to use these?

Hi there :)

It's perfectly normal for a budgie not to use a cuttlebone right away. In fact, they may not use it for months on end!

Cuttlebones are great sources of calcium, so a budgie will only eat from it when their body is depleted of calcium. Although they don't use it all the time, it's still important to keep it in their cage since you don't know when their bodies will require more calcium

A variety of perches and lots of chew toys can help to keep her beak and nails trimmed to the proper length while she's not chewing on the cuttlebone.

Well, strangely enough I think I heard my bird using her cuddlebone this mornng before I lifted the cover off of her cage.

This photo was made prior to her using her cuddlebone. Is her beak an ok length?

Her beak length is fine at this time. :)

Any toys that your budgie has to work at chewing will help keep her beak trim. Wooden toys are great for this.

Conditioning perches are also helpful:

Additionally, you also give her a coral beak buffer which helps keep her beak clean and trim.
