Is this ladder safe? Found on Amazon + some other accessories

Hi ---

A few bird items caught my eye on Amazon and was wondering what the forum thinks. I saw this ladder as an "add-on" item and I think there might be some controversy re. the beads? I was looking for a flexible type ladder as Ella had one in her cage that Artoo likes... but I couldn't find her exact one yet. Hers has more natural parts I believe:

Do we like these flat platform perches? They look sort of fun...?

https://www.amazon.com/Alfie-Pet-Pet...5%3A2470955011

This round play swing ladder thing caught my eye, looks fun but I'd have to replace some of the metal with stainless steel equivalents:

This set of (5) four-inch-long natural wood mini perches seem like a good deal?

These platform perches look fun. Natural wood (2) for $8.00 ... 6 inches by 2 inches:

Lastly... this "Wonderwalk Bridge" seems to catch my eye, but really not sure about it:

Thank you... !:cobalt::budge::yo:

All of the items you've listed look pretty good to me.

I have this ladder for my lovebirds:

I particularly like the Wonderwalk Bridge you linked - I may have to consider getting that one soon.

Thanks Deborah...! I'm glad I could turn you on to something after all of the great reco's you sent my way. ... From all the great links from you & StarlingWings and some others... I know I would spend a king's ransom with all of the great stuff I've seen that you and others took the time to share with me. ... I'm going to attempt to not buy it all in one sitting..... but the temptation is surely there! :innocent: :) ;)

I agree, those look pretty good! I would ask the manufacturer about the type of wood the perches are made of, though, just to be on the safe side.

I myself know exactly how you feel with wanting to spend all your money on bird stuff :giggle: I definitely sympathise with that feeling :D

It's actually rather embarrassing when I admit I have 5 different play gyms as well as the all the great stuff currently in the four cages as well as multiple boxes of extra natural wood perches, swings, boings, toys, food and water dishes, etc. in my closet.
(I also have 3 extra cages large enough for 2 budgies and 2 travel cages.)

Yet I still find different things I think I really must get because I'm sure they *need* it. :laughing2:

I have the Wonderwalk Bridge and the birds really like it. I string it between cages.

Excellent -- that was my plan so now I'll definitely buy it!
Thanks, Leah.

Omg... I totally get it! I can see my addiction is developing. I'm going to have to work to keep it in check.

Can we chalk it up to a creative art project and it's a form of artistic expression...? :) ;)

(*I'll post some pics when some of the things I order arrive. StarlingWings... I inquired about the perches and they're Douglas Fir. Thx for the tip!

I bought one of those 1" x 3" stainless steel bells (shaped like a tube) ... but I got the powder coated style (I'm disappointed you can't select the color, just random.) I chose the powder coated because I read an Amazon review where it's so shiny that it acts like a mirror and that could become a problem. Biz only shows marginal interest in mirrors... but thought it best not to take the chance.

Speaking of mirrors.... is there a way to safely cover one? I couldn't resist buying a motion sensored mirror that allows you to record 10 seconds. So every time the budgie goes by it, it will play your voice. I wouldn't use that all the time, but my curiosity got the best of me, and Biz has already shown some willingness to mimic with his mumbly "Pretty Bird." But... it's a mirror and I'd like to camouflage it in a safe way.

Thx... ! :) :)

I think a number of us have that addiction, just open a drawer or cabinet in my house and watch all the bird stuff come tumbling out!:laughing:

I have a ladder with a mirror on the end that Ice was obsessed with for a while. I used paper stickers to cover it up. The only thing is that you have to make sure they don't chew on the paper stickers at all.

Does this Swing look safe? --->

Fetch-It Pets Polly Wanna Green Bird Toy Razzle Dazzle | DrsFosterSmith.com

Also... FaeryBee.... The ladder you liked is on sale, much less than the price on Amazon:

Prevue Naturals Wonder Walks|Ladders & Swings from DrsFosterSmith.com

StarlingWings 11-28-2016 06:17 PM

The swing is made of bird-safe materials, but I would be concerned that if they were to chew through the wicker rings that are the only thing holding it together, the swing could break and they may fall

Hi... yeah... thanks... I decided against it.... for that reason... and also because I decided that it looks kind of crazy. ;)

FaeryBee 11-29-2016 03:05 PM

Thanks for the info on the bridge.
I'm pretty sure my husband has already ordered it from Amazon as a Christmas gift since it was on my "Wish List". ;)

I went ahead and ordered one because I couldn't resist. :) .... I'm about done with my little holiday spree I think. [ After I get a stainless steel liberty bell... and then I'm done. :) ]
