Default Basil bath

I bought some basil,I washed it and clipped it in there cage, they all had a nibble and loved it, however I noticed zuko was trying to rub himself over it. Lifting his wings a little. Does this mean he would appreciate a basil bath.I offer them all baths everyday but only Decca dips his head in the water and shakes it about a little. Ive heard of basil baths but what does this entail.,do I put water in there bath and put basil on the top or do I just wet the basil and put it in the bath? Thanks in advance for advice

That's very normal and some budgies would much prefer to bathe on dripping wet leafy greens like lettuce or spinach, for example.
My budgie girls love this method of veggie bathing when I place the greens in between the cage's bars on the roof.

If you want to entice your budgies to make use of the birdie bathtub, you can place some basil or another type of veggie/herb onto the water.

How cute!

My girl loves her "herb baths", too I put a tiny bit of water (barely covering the bottom) in a container and pile it with dripping greens, like basil, parsley, kale, and lettuce, and she just dives right in!
