Default What's she doing?!

Monty has started to sit in the corner of her cage with her vent/bum in the air? I started to wonder if she's nesting, so popped some ripped up paper in for her which she ran over to and sat in (see picture.) She's an only budgie, so she's definitely not pregnant, she doesn't seem to have any kind of weight gain or bump. Does anyone know what she could be doing?

Some budgies can become broody and lay eggs even despite not having a mate.
And the idea here should be to discourage them from this behaviour by removing anything that they can potentially use as a nest.
The shredded paper needs to go and no dark, hiding areas should be available on the cage.
Be sure to follow the recommendations on this link: https://talkbudgies.com/budgie-breedi...want-eggs.html

That's good to know and you're very welcome!
You can also rearrange Monty's cage in order to throw her off the nesting mood.
