Default Oscar .. behavior change

Hi.. I've bugged Faerybee about this.. She is so good to respond. I thought I'd share this and see what you experts think.

Oscar is usually minimally interested in me. She will step up, etc.. but is focused more on Rigby.
A day or so ago, I went in to do the evening routine and she rushed to the front of her cage (she was out of cage) and like she was beckoning me to her. She picked on my tee shirt and flew around me. I gave her a tiny bit of millet as she usually all about food, but she just had a couple bites and went back to my shirt. She is eating normally and looks very healthy.
Because nesting was a possibility (Riggs is male), I put in those paper streamer toys and shredding stuff. She has no interest, nor is she searching for dark corners like her mom did (remember my little Lemony?).
She is still doing this.. seems like she wants my attention. Doesn't do this with my spouse. Could she be mimicking my lovebird? (housed in the same room, but not out together. Sahara flies to me, sits on my shoulder and preens me... Oscar has not done any of these things)
If you have prior experience with this or advice/opinions, I'd love to hear.
See, another example of me not being able to totally understand these little ones! I wish I knew what she wanted!

When you say she went back to your t-shirt, did she just perch normally on your shoulder or has she tried to really cuddle and hide on your t-shirt?
Is Oscar currently in breeding condition?
Given the egg problem Lemony had, Oscar being her offspring has higher chances of inheriting the same condition.

If your Oscar sees you closely interacting with Sahara, it's true that this can make her more receptive to you. This works the same way when trying to earn the trust and tame a new budgie with the help of a fully tamed budgie.

Hi and thank you, Aluz. I forgot to include in my post that Faerybee suggested the nesting/egg issue, too and believe me, given Lemony's problem, I watch Oscar like a hawk (I say that, and then have Oscar and Rigby in the same cage ). I haven't noticed ANYTHING until 2 days ago.
About my shirt: She doesn't hide and cuddle and she doesn't act normally. She acts as though she is trying to bite (and indeed she did bite my arm this morning, but Sahara does this too). She flies around my head and lands on my forearm and picks at my shirt.
Faerybee said she would take her to the vet if she owned Oscar, so I will take that advice too. Can't hurt, except $$. Making an appointment this afternoon. Thanks again, Aluz... you have wonderful avian insights.

Aluz, one more thing.. I forgot to tell you it's really hard for me to tell if Oscar is condition... Her cere is ALWAYS brown and crusty and her behavior really doesn't change. She was 2 in August, .... so I assume she's been in condition at least a few times before now.
OK.. I'll stop talking about it until I report what the vet says You know, once I get started talking about my birds, I can go on forever

Since your Oscar has been keeping the dark brown cere for so long (which is totally fine), you will only have to rely on her behaviour to tell when she's truly in breeding condition.
It's good that she is not showing signs of being broody.
Some of my budgies when landing on my shoulder will occasionally preen my hair and a couple of them will at times also investigate what I'm wearing by giving a few odd bites on my clothes.
This is something that can be quickly solved by diverting the budgies' attention to something else. Also if they are more in a chewing mood, giving them a chew toy will keep them busy.

I hope the vet appointment goes well.

Thank you again, Aluz. Tonight during our evening ritual, she seemed a bit more aggressive and she landed on my spouse's shoulder (another first). She is certainly showing more interest in us than she ever has since she was a baby. She was my more adventurous baby and more nippy as a 'teenager'. Rigby doesn't seem to know what to make of all this stuff.

Hi.. I know, I know.. I said I wasn't going to 'talk' anymore, but.. I just had to share this.
Oscar is her normal, much more stand offish self! Didn't approach me, didn't bite me, didn't pick on my shirt. Stepped up on my finger as asked, then flew off to the top of her cage and the play gym. Just. as. usual. Go figure. Still I have my vet appointment for Monday, just to see. And I want to see how much weight she has lost by his scale
