Default Soluvite D dosage for one budgie

Hullo everyone on Talk Budgies.I haven't been posting anything for a while because my parents wanted me to concentrate on my school work. but I have been around. Damon bird is fine and I have just purchased some Soluvite D powder to put in his water. He has limited access to natural sunlight. I've read all the posts on Soluvite D but I'm still not sure of the correct dosage for Damon. I can only find the dosage for a large amount of water which means most of the powder will be wasted.Damon has magnetised water and it is changed twice a day. Does anyone know how much Soluvite D powder to use and does he require it every day. Sorry if this has been asked /answered before but I'm always extra careful with Damon. He is my whole world. Thank you .....................Janna.

You will need a scale accurate to 0.01 grams to do it. I have one, plus a calibration weight, and I do single-use doses calculated back from the dose on the back. I do 0.5g to 50ml to keep the wastage minimal within the accuracy of the scale.

I use it as a moulting supplement, or if he isn't getting the direct sunlight he needs to make his own.

Thank you Anne Marie. Gosh,I'll have to try and find something like the scale you have.We are very isolated so I can't get into the nearest city at the moment but I will look online and see what I can find. ......Janna.
