Default Albino visual issues?

My vet suggested that some of Jesters odd behaviors might be from her not being able to see very well when things are close to her which is a common condition in many albino animals. He wasn't sure if this was true of parakeets and the internet seems fairly split on the subject. Jester flies back to her cage successfully from my desk and her gym but tends to clip items on her way to her perch. She chatters along to podcasts, music and birds outside but completely ignores mirrors. She has panic reactions to unfamiliar foods but only once she bites into them.
Do albino parakeets tend to have visual issues? If so is there anything I can do to make things easier for her to navigate them?

Yes, from my experience in owning, breeding and raising albinos and lutinos (red-eyed budgies), I have noticed a few issues with eyesight.
Mainly sensitivity to bright lights, in some I have also noticed the inability of properly managing distances (overall poorer eyesight) when flying and this would lead to more forced crash landings.
What I did with mine was limiting the flight area when they had out of cage time and also placing some nets in the most troublesome areas in order to prevent them from crashing hard into a wall for example.
As for the cages, I made sure to not clutter them with too many things, especially the bigger dangling toys and when cleaning out the cages, I placed everything back as it was before in order to provide familiarity and avoid unnecessary confusion.
I did the same thing for a budgie I had (a normal dark green budgie) who happened to be completely blind from one of the the eyes.
