I haven't been active since December due to a big move and a lot going on. I can't promise I'll be super active again until Summer rolls around, but I just wanted to give an update on the birds.
They're doing well, they've settled in nicely, and have a bigger room to explore during out if cage time. I also got them a bigger cage, but it needs to be painted, cleaned, and put together because it's second hand. (I'll make a post about that in housing eventually.) I'm really excited for that because it's a huge cage.
They've developed this special chirp that I've learned means "I need you for something!". It's pretty adorable!
Usually it means they're hungry or thirsty because their water dish spills easily and they're never full.
But lately, Mexico does it whenever I leave the room. I'm really happy about that actually, because we've been bonding lately, and this shows me that he wants me there.
They've taken more of an interest in toys lately, which I'm enjoying. I'm home pretty much 24/7, and I love watching them goof around.
They went thorough this phase where they didn't like being out of their cage, which confused me, but thankfully they seem to have passed that.
They also recently had a huge moult, but again, its over now, which is a relief for both them and me. I finally got around to putting something under their cage, which makes it way easier to clean up after them. It's just an old plastic mat that goes under an office chair. It was taking up space, and so this was perfect.
Well, thanks for reading, and hello to all my friends here on TB!
