Karma for NEVER giving up! This was such a touching story, and I know Baaji is thankful to be back home! I find myself wondering what he did that night, perhaps he took a tour of the city. Anyway, I'm glad you have him back, the sweetheart.

Hey - Here's a little film I made about Baaji's Night Out in the city - (Wild in the streets, so to speak!...)

Baaji's Night Out - YouTube

(By the way, your little Nuuki is Totally Precious! What a little love he is!)

wow wow wow. this thread is revived again.
Thanks Ollie for mentioning.

Thanks everyone for commenting.
it is already 3 mth. Baaji is not in his prime health as he was before he escaped. (this is what i felt, i hope i m over sensitive) i hope everythings will be fine with him. he had never been sick for the past 5 yrs, but recently he had a few episode of puffiness. not sure did i pick up anything from his night out. we went to vet a few times, the vet didnt do much to investigate. well, i think i can only work from myself to boost his immunity with natural remedy such as herbs and good food.

I lost my baby budgie of two months old three days ago. Just flew out of the window during his breakfast time. It's the third night without him and it's horrible. I feel so guilty. I didn't go search at the offices across the road cuz I just assumed he wouldn't be there. Now I will never know. There are so many "what ifs" running through my mind.
He just disappeared, so quickly, even though I ran down immediately when I saw him fly out of the window and slip off the ledge. I expected him to be injured at the foot of the building but he was just gone. Tried calling his name, nothing. My mum went walking around the vicinity and nothing. Later in the afternoon, I took the cage down and went down with it, but again, nothing.
He was only two months old, he has barely lived, and I feel so guilty. How is he going to survive out there?
I put up posters on three blocks but so far nothing. My other budgie is in his cage outside my unit and I'm hoping that somehow my baby would come home when he hears a fellow budgie chirping. Also, I put up an online ad here: https://singapore.locanto.sg/ID_11972...udgerigar.html
Fellow Singaporeans, do help me keep a lookout.
Honestly, I feel like I didn't put in enough effort in finding my budgie. I didn't cover enough area. I am in school from dawn to dusk and it feels terrible knowing that I didn't put in effort to find my baby budgie.
I really don't know how to move on from this incident. There was so many things I could do but I just didn't. My mum is telling me that perhaps my budgie just wanted freedom, and God has made it to be so. But I cry and cry and I can't get over it. There was so many things I wanted to do with him. I just wish I could.

Yea Connie, you are very lucky that you found your budgie. It's more difficult to find a missing bird especially among apartments cuz then it would be less likely a bird just flies into somebody's house. When I chanced on your story, I was really surprised really. But it's great you are able to find your budgie and spend many more years with him.
I just walked along the offices opposite my house and I thought I heard some budgie sounds from the office canteen. I continued walking down the row but when I walked pass the canteen again, there was no more sounds. I think it was some mynahs but if it was my baby I am sure some office workers would pick him up.
I live at the Bedok Reservoir/ Kaki Buki area. My posters are still there but I only pasted them at three blocks near to the site he was lost.
It's the third day now but I still find alot of reasons that make me feel worse. Like, I didn't put toys in his cage cuz I would take him out everyday and play with him, letting him walk around freely and I thought that way he wouldn't be spoiled or distracted and learn and bond more. He seemed okay, like he would sometimes just stop and wait for me to pick him up but after he escaped, I thought that maybe he escaped cuz I didn't give him toys. There are alot of other reasons I cooked up and I feel like I'm a bad bird owner.
I don't think I can bear to keep another budgie next time. Looking into getting a parrotlet but feel like it doesn't do my baby justice cuz I would be "replacing" him, and that I never found him.
(Sorry for babbling, I just need to share this with you guys cuz not many people understand. They think a bird is just a bird and they think it is funny.)

Kimmii, try to do something, else the guilt won't get over.

Paste more poster with colored pictures.

Go n door knock a few block. Ask around, don't be shy.
I was asking around in tears, like a mad woman.

that is most likely the way u can do for the moment.

Connie is right Kimmi dont give up. Maybe someone has found him but they don't know where he came from.
Post fliers in shopping centres, deli, petrol stations, community hall, vet clinics, and do so for surrounding areas with a few miles radius of your home. Maybe he is in someones home now
