What are some cages that y'all can recommend me? Unfortunately, due to the situations I'm in, my birds get no out of cage time. Currently, we have the 30"x18"x18" finch cage from PETCO. However, the new cage has to be less than $100(so, unfortunately, the ever so popular F040 is out of the question). I was looking into this cage, does it seem okay? Also, my parents won't et me get my birds a new cage. How can I convince them?

If the link didn't work, here it is: Amazon.com : Generic Bird Parrot Cage Chinchilla Cockatiel Conure Large W/stand Overall 32"x18"x64" : Pet Supplies

Offer to do extra chores to earn the money for a new cage and/or pick up some odd jobs around the neighborhood. Mow grass, wash windows, babysit or whatever.

I'd also suggest you save up enough to get the F040. It isn't that much over $100 and often goes on sale. It's even been as low as $89.00 in the past year.

Edit to Add:
OK, now that I can see the cage you are interested in, I can say that one is fine for two budgies. :

Those are all great ideas! I know when my kids want something it always helps if they are willing to put in some extra work around the house. I appreciate that they see my money and time is valuable and then I am more willing to help with what they feel they are needing.

You could also offer to prepare a meal or do some grocery shopping, run errands

I just looked and I suppose it isn't all that much larger than their current 18"(H) x 18"(L) x 30"(W) home? Just 2 inches bigger by width, and it's just taller? But I though birds were horizontal fliers, so it wouldn't make that much difference...am I calculating something wrong here? PLEASE respond ASAP!

You are correct. The cage you picked though has sturdier construction. If getting more horizontal space is important to you I would suggest waiting until the F040 goes on sale or simply wait and save your money until you can comfortably afford a bigger cage. The F040 might go on sale in the next month either as a spring special or a memorial day sale however 'might' being the operative word I'm not altogether certain.
