Default Which would be the best cage?

Hey everyone, due to the recent death of one of my budgies, I have decided to buy another bird. My old large cage had too wide bar spacing so I sold it and now in trying to find another cage even if I don't get another bird ( most likely will) I decided to get a bigger cage than the one I have my bird in temporarily. I found this cage on amazon, it obviously can house 2 budgies perfectly, but would it be able to house a budgie with a cockatiel that get out of cage time all day from morning till evening. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000K...=ATVPDKIKX0DER. Would this cage work or would it be better to get this one for a cockatiel https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0012...A2H2D3K3HLSN42 . Would the first one be at least able to house 1 cockatiel that gets free time all the time. Any help is Appreciated. Links to cages and other ideas are also appreciated. Just to let you know I can't get over 80 dollars.

If you plan to have both a budgie and cockatiel, you would be better off housing them in separate cages.

It is always best to get the biggest cage possible no matter how much time your bird spends out of the cage.
If you are buying a cage for a budgie, the cage should have bar spacing that is no greater than 1/2" between the bars.

It wouldn't be possible to house them together? I'm thinking I might get the taller one and remove the top half if needed. But I'll probably get the second one.

It's never recommended to house different species together in a cage. You will hear of the odd time that it works with certain individuals, but that's an exception to the rule. Generally speaking, it's never a good idea to mix different species with different temperaments. Even some budgies don't get along in the same cage, and budgies are just about the most social of all parrot species and generally accepting of living with others in a cage.

No, as stated, it is not recommended to house different species in the same cage.

Additionally, if I were you, I'd stretch the budget to be able to get a larger cage than either of the ones you've linked.

The bigger the cage, the better and there are quite a few good sales on cages at this time.

Thanks for the links Faery bee, but the problem here is that my parents wouldn't allow such a huge cage since my room is rather smaller. They would allow me to buy with whatever money I have but not such a large one. So I can stretch my budget but I can only get on as big as this or smaller https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00VW...lfL&ref=plSrch

Actually maybe the ones in the links are not as big but even the one I posted is on the large size with my parents are really skeptical about and might not let. I am a teen and I live in my parents home so I have to do with whatever they say.
And another edit, since stated I will not house the same species in the same cage.

The cage in the last link you posted would be great.
You might need to save up a little extra money.

Just make absolutely sure the space between the bars is not greater than 1/2".

Even 5/8" spacing is too far apart and a risk for a budgie getting its head stuck between the bars.

I'm very glad to hear you will not be housing two species of birds in the same cage.

Yep well I made 85 today and I had 30 so yeah I can probably order it, but my parents are still not that willing to let, so I'll see how that goes.

I found a cage with 5/8 bar spacing, is it alright?
