Default Are Vision Cages Good?

I'm thinking of getting this cage as I need to separate my two budgies. Is it a good one?

That medium vision cage is perfectly fine for a budgie.

Bare in mind that it doesn't have a tray, so you have to lift the cage off the plastic bottom.
A lot of people like the fact it cuts down on the mess that litters the floor, it's all about preference.

Thank you, I'm not bothered with the lifting the cage off the bottom. I like it because it's much bigger than the smaller cage I currently have, which is just too pokey for one of my budgies to be in all the time and it's a good price.

I have a Vision L02 for my two:

I love it. I really like how vision cages are easy to take apart and put together, it makes it really easy to clean every inch properly. I like that I lift the top of the cage off the bottom, there's no weird nooks and crannies so again, easy cleaning. My budgies seem to really like it. It's very easy to reorganize for toys and perches; the perches it comes with are great for hooking toys to also. My husband doesn't like how light it is, he worries it'll break. I think it's because he always expects something that large to be heavier though, it's definitely not flimsy.

Hi,
I also have the same cage as Moira, for my canary.
The lifting off the base aspect has never bothered me - I don't use the grate and have multiple layers of paper on the bottom & remove the top layer daily. Every couple of weeks, I'll just lift the cage onto the floor, put paper beside it and then unhook the base and lift the cage off and onto the paper with the bird still inside - so easy.
It's worth noting that the measurements given are the maximum ie the base, the barred section is slightly smaller, though my canary seems to still have plenty of room.
The only think I dislike about the cage is that it's quite rattley, much more so than my budgies cage.
Birds are often a little confused with the clear Perspex to start with but work it out in a day or two.
I actually looked for another cage like this for my budgie but couldn't find the double height large anywhere so went for a completely different style - The large size version comes in two different bar spacings, so take care to read the specs before ordering.
Enjoy!

I originally had the L01 cage but then ordered all the part to expand it from the Hagen website. Another great thing I forgot to mention - if you lose a piece or break something or just wanna make it bigger, you can order each individual piece directly online!

I don't have one, but I do like the way they look, and I've seen them in person and they are a good quality and well built. Took me a minute to figure how to clean the tray the first time I saw one .

We ordered one on Tuesday. It arrives Wednesday, hurrah! Moving day for the birdies today. Not looking forward to getting them both in travel cages, but it must be done.
