Default New cage setup

So following on from this thread, I have now gotten my birds natural perches for their cages and just wanted to share their new homes!

I ended up getting these items from Beakaboo who are an Australian company based in Queensland. The lady I spoke to, Lisa, was extremely friendly and helpful and also agreed to custom make the feeding platform you see Trix standing on without any hesitation.

I got the feeding platform idea from Natural Bird Co who I was going to use initially until I had a few conversations with the owner and discovered they no longer ship to Australia due to our crazy high testing costs on imported wood (something in the order of 30 pounds per piece of wood).

Anyway, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Beakaboo, especially to Australians as I found it quite hard to find many good companies in the entire country. It was actually the owner of Natural Bird Co who helped me find Beakaboo in the end!

And as a bonus here's a photo of our canary, Puff, who is also enjoying her new perches!

It's great that your birds are enjoying their new natural wood perches!

You might consider getting a nice swing for your budgie and a few more toys.

Best wishes!

Looks good . I like the food platform. I agree with FaeryBee on adding more toys in there and a swing.

Your budgie is a beautiful mutation. I've always been partial to the blue and yellow recessive pied like my first budgie.
