How do you guys go about attaching your diy perches to wire cages? Just looking for ideas . . . Thanks!

Yeah I had a similar question I was about to ask trum. How DO you attach the perches?

I think the easiest way is to cut the perch slightly longer than the width of the cage and then to cut slots in the ends, as in the dowels on this page:
Bird Cage, Java Wood Perch, Avian Supplies, Pluck No More, Bird Food

If I remember rightly, Trum was planning to attach metal fixings, though I'm not sure if he stuck with that idea or not; it's obviously a bit more complicated and needs extra tools. Maybe you could send him a PM.

Sometimes, if the perches are forked, they can just be threaded through the bars under a bit of tension and hold quite firmly.
