Default Swing reccomendations

My new budgie Lapis doesn't currently use a swing to sleep, this weekend I'm hoping to introduce my older budgie Charlie into the cage, he only uses a swing to sleep, I'm thinking he might influence Lapis to sleep on a swing. there's just a cheap swing in Lapis's cage now, not that he uses it (or I would have upgraded it already), but I want something that is good to stand on for a long time.

There are many different swing options if you simply look through different pet supply sites.

The Natural Bird Company offers several popular options many members of the forum use:

The Natural Bird Company

Some of my bird's favorite swings include:

Grapevine Swing
All of my birds have access to grapevine swings in their cages and all seven of my budgie boys LOVE them!

(You can also make the swing above using a safe wood branch if you do not have access to grapevine)

Wicker Wreath Swing
(available at Michaels Craft Stores)

Sand swing
[No, this swing does not hurt the budgie's feet or promote pressure sores]

When I had Sunny and Shelby they absolutely loved their sand swings and had them for over four years.
My current female budgies, Samara and Seffra, prefer their sand swings to any of the other available swings in their cage.

Other popular options include:

Carnival Kabob Swing

Plastic "Ring" Swing

If you choose the swing linked below, it is VERY important you remove all of the cloth tassels so the budgie does not chew on them and ingest the fibers:

Prevue Hendryx Wacky Wood Bird Swing

What a great collection of swing recommendations. I love that wacky wood swing (*with tassles removed. : ) ...My budgie has taken a real liking lately to the JW Pet plastic swing. It's one of his favorites. ( At the moment. He switches around. )
