Default Cage Relocation

I've finally decided that, within the next month or so, I will be buying Gilbert a larger cage: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00176F5L0...a-274778779178

However, this is my question: I was wanting to move his cage into my room, to free up space. Would it be safe, as my room is attached to the laundry room, or do I need to build a door or find some way to separate the laundry room from my room?

You'll love the F040. I have several of them.

Make sure you secure the spring-loaded side doors of the cage for safety.

With regard to the laundry room, you need to think about what is stored in that area, whether or not you use detergent, fabric softener and/or dryer sheets that are scented, etc.

I personally always use unscented laundry detergent, unscented dryer sheets, unscented soap, etc. to ensure there is no danger to my birds.

Are you going to be giving Gilbert out-of-cage time in your room?
If so, then you need to at least put up a curtain on a tension rod to prevent him from going into the laundry area where I'm sure there are lots of things that are not birdie-safe.

Thank you for the quick response!

I'm glad that the curtain and tension rod is what I will need. I was more concerned about the humidity of the room since the washer and dryer are nearby.

The higher humidity is perfectly fine.
Many people have to resort to warm mist humidifiers for their budgies to ensure there is enough moisture in the air.
