Default Cleaning New Budgies Cage

Hey everyone!

So I recently (about 2 weeks ago) got two new budgies. They're still scared of us. I was wondering how I could clean their cage? I've cleaned the bottom of the cage (I keep newspaper under the grate), their food/water bowls and their perches. However, I wanted to clean their whole cage since it looks a little messy. I was wondering what the best way of doing this was since they're still scared of us so it would be hard to put them in their extra cage.

Should I just wait till they're more comfortable around us to do this?

Be sure you are moving slowly and carefully whenever you do anything near the birds or with their cage. Talk calmly and reassuringly to your budgies as well.

You can dampen a cloth with plain white vinegar (undiluted) to wipe down the cage if necessary.
Don't let the excess cloth flap about as that will scare the birds, so hold the cloth folded in your hand.

This is great advice, FaeryBee. I was just wondering the same thing myself, because I don't want to scare my budgies, but I do want to clean the cage thoroughly every week or so.

I'll make sure to keep it all slow and careful.
